Dr. Christina Carson-Sacco

I believe that a good match between the client and therapist is key to therapeutic success. My approach is very straight-forward and down-to-earth. I help individuals, couples and families build the skills needed to overcome emotional challenges, relationship difficulties and to move through life changes, creating healthier lives. I enjoy working with adult women to help them deal with stress and to lead more fulfilling lives. I assist families having difficulty relating to one another, through parenting strategies or a couples focus. As a member of the Bucks Co. Collaborative Law Group, I help divorcing families. Frequently, I work with children and adolescents around emotional, school, relationship, and family issues.

I am a licensed psychologist whose Doctorate in Clinical Psychology has a concentration in Family and Couples Therapy.  Since 1989, I have worked in a variety of settings, including crisis centers, outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient hospital facilities, partial hospitalization programs, schools, outpatient group practices, children’s guidance facilities, and in private practice.

Currently, I work as an individual, couples, group, and family therapist for children, adolescents and adults, as well as an educational and legal consultant. Some areas of my treatment specialty include anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant behavior, school struggles, adolescent identity, parenting, couples conflict, and stress management.

I was appointed by the governor to the Pennsylvania Sex Offender Assessment Board, on which I served from 2002 to 2010. I have served on the Advisory Council of Family Friends, an organization that serves special needs children and their families. In addition, I was the guest lecturer at their national conference.

I am a school representative to the Special Education Advisory Council, and a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. In 2009, I was appointed to the Board of Foundations Community Partnership, a non-profit foundation formed to support the behavioral health and human service needs of children and young adults in Bucks County.
