Child Therapist
The Center for Neuropsychology & Counseling, PC has opportunities for licensed, pre-licensed and postdoctoral candidates interested in providing therapy. A desire to work with clients across the lifespan is great, but an ability to work with children and teens is a must. Being able to work with the parents and families of these clients is important as well. The Center also has many requests ofr therapy for individual adults, couples and families. Technique-specific training such as DBT, EMDR can be helpful, but not essential.
We are searching for a strong clinician interested in growing as part of an engaged, collaborative team. At The Center, this individual will not be simply punching a clock and seeing clients, but will seek to grow as a professional, as well as grow the practice. A desire for a long term, mutually beneficial relationship is a must. A component of our supportive atmosphere is a focus on ongoing skill development. We engage in regular case discussion and education, through both formal team meetings, as well as an ‘open door’ policy among our staff.
Team members are expected to maintain high professional, ethical standards, keep their licenses current, and hold malpractice insurance. Clinicians are expected to develop and implement treatment plans, maintain progress notes and document clinically relevant information. We support seeking out consultation, attending quality continuing education programs and conferences, and engaging in staff meetings and training. Collaboration both inside the practice, as well as with other professionals in our community is essential.
