About Chalfont PA

A borough in western Bucks County, Chalfont is a beautiful rural community located just a few miles north of Philadelphia. In addition to a number of farms throughout the area, Chalfont is also home to several locations that are on the National Register of Historic Places. It was founded on Lenape land, and was purchased via a treaty in 1683. Though it has gone through several names over the years, Chalfont gained its official name shortly after the introduction of the Pennsylvania Railroad and post office.
