I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered/Board Certified Art Therapist with a focus and expertise in working with children, adolescents and young adults in individual and group formats.  I have over twenty -five years of experience working in a variety of settings as a clinician, administrator, consultant, and educator.  My past employment includes psychiatric and medical hospitals, ambulatory care and public school settings, implementing and managing partial hospital programs, alternative school programs, outpatient clinics, private practice, as well as the delivery and coordination of behavioral health education.  In addition, I have recently worked as the Associate Director of Foundations Community Partnership, a philanthropic Foundation whose mission is to provide grants and services to non-profit organizations in Bucks County delivering services to special needs children, adolescents and their families.

An experienced clinician and program developer, I was the past Director of Educational/Outpatient Services and the creator and Director of LifeWorks Alternative School at Foundations Behavioral Health in Doylestown, PA., where I worked for eleven years.  My expertise lies in the areas of helping families navigate the complex mental health and educational systems.  Some areas of treatment specialties include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, social, behavioral and academic challenges, coping with school stress, and ADHD.  I have also coordinated and conducted professional workshops for parents, students, school faculty, and other groups on topics relevant to the behavioral healthcare field.

A published author, I co-wrote “LifeWorks Behavioral Health in the Classroom”, a workbook dedicated to helping clinicians, educators and families cope with behavioral health issues through activity sheets and valuable information.  In 2002, I received the “Community Service” award from Phi Delta Kappa, Lehigh Chapter.  This award was given for my service and contribution to schools and the community.  Phi Delta Kappa is a professional fraternity in education dedicated to research, service and leadership and the translation of these ideals into a program addressing the needs of public education.

My 25 years in the field also included serving as Director of the Partial Hospital Program and Allied Therapy Department at Warminster Hospital/Tenet Healthcare (formerly Allegheny University Hospitals/Bucks County Campus) in Warminster PA. I also held managerial and clinical posts at Bristol-Bensalem Human Services Center, and the Carrier Foundation, in Belle Mead, NJ.  I was the past President for the Delaware Valley Partners in Healthcare Association and the Penn State Alumni Admission Association.

I earned my Masters of Professional Studies from Pratt Institute and my Bachelors in Art Education/Art Therapy from the Pennsylvania State University.  I am a current member of the American Art Therapy Association and past member of the Pennsylvania Association of Alternative Education.  In the past, I was also active with the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce “Parenting and Family Committee.”  I am a resident of Doylestown, Pennsylvania where I live with my wonderful husband and amazing daughter.
